It's normal to have some fear of the unknown, but bad for you not to be sleeping. How far along are you? Have youtalked to your doctor about this?

I had major insomnia early on in pregnancy and during the 1st trimester. It was actually one of my first symptoms. Have you tried guided relaxation music? Search around until you find one with a guide who has a very slow soothing voice, that usually puts me right out. I also use progressive muscle relaxation and deep breathing. You breath in deep and then when you exhale (mouth or nose whatever is most comfortable to you) you imagine the air exiting from different body parts. Sounds wonky but it works. I usually start at my toes and work my way up my body. You can just do toes, ankles, calves, knees, thighs, etc. of both legs at the same time or break it down to one leg at a time and just do 1 toe per exhale, ball of the foot, arch of the foot, heel, front of ankle, back of ankle, etc. Depends on just how much tension you need to release to relax. Usually I am asleep before I get to any body parts above my waist lol.

www.webmd.com had some good tips on helping you sleep when pregnant. I read that some oils like lavender helps you sleep if you put It in an electric diffuser.
