Question

Taking the birth control pill, got a positive pregnancy test. Has this happened to you?

DH and I are on the pill. Have been for 2 years. Earlier this week I was having morning nausea/GI upset for four days, only for a few hours each time. No missed period. Just for the heck of it, I took a pregnancy test, we do that periodically just to "be sure". And this thin, blue line showed up. How is this possible? Could it be a false positive? We will be happy either way.

Yes, it has happened to a few women I know. I would get a blood test to confirm. I believe you should be on progesterone since you have been taking the pill. Best to you.

Thank you, Mozart.
I will follow up with my Dr once I take another HPT. The line is thin, perhaps a false positive. Alarming to see none the less.

I became pregnant with my son while on the pill so it is possible. I think that you should get another test to be sure. I don't really trust the blue dye tests. I have had a couple false positives before so I don't buy them anymore. Good luck I hope that things turn out for you! xx

Definitely pick up a pink dye test and make sure to hold ur urine. I have a 14y/o pill baby, so it can happen, even if u missed no pills!
Good luck! =))
