What were your experiences with spotting at 8 or 9 dpo?

Hey, all! After over a year of TTC, I had polyps removed in February. Our doctor told us to try on our own for a bit longer (husband is slightly below normal in sperm count, motility, and morphology) before moving on to IUI at the end of next month.

Yesterday (at 8 or 9 dpo), I found a small amount of blood while checking my CP and CM. I know I didn't scratch myself or anything like that... this was definitely spotting. This is the first time I have ever spotted in the middle of my cycle, and the color and amount are consistent with what I've read about implantation bleeding. (AF is due in 5 or 6 days.)

I've been trying so hard not to get my hopes up these past few months, but this is different from anything else I've experienced.

What were your experiences with spotting around this time in your cycle? Did you end up getting a BFP? Did AF show up? Any insight would be appreciated! Thanks!
