First IUI with Femara & HCG shot..what do you ladies think? Need positive thoughts/prayers!!

Hi Ladies,

I had my first IUI done today, today is CD 13. I also took Femara and trigger shots to help ovulation etc. Everything went well but we only had one big follicle. I would really appreciate if you could share your experience with me. I need positive thoughts. My hubby's sperm count looked great..62 million active sperm. Keeping our fingers crossed. I don't have any major issues that we know of yet...this will be our 12th cycle TTC.

One good looking follicle sounds great! More doesn't really increase your odds of pregnancy much, it just increases you odds of multiples. Good luck!

Thanks Essemkay..fingers crossed for this cycle. Have you ever experienced IUI? the process was not bad at all. I am just hoping this cycle is the one for us.

I did IUI with Femara (plus Gonal F after the Femara days ended, due to my age) & IUI. I only had one big follicle & a couple of smaller ones, but the 4th try worked for us (I'm currently 22weeks). A lot of women get a positive after a first try sometimes, so there is hope! I did a lot of other things ie eating lots of veggies & fruit, walking instead of running, drinking lots of water, etc, but only b/c we had tried for so many years. I hope this IUI works for you!
