You can buy cheapie opks online. They work just as well as those expensive ones.

I am using opks for first time, and I plan on checking cm for the right time but also want to use cheap tests to pin point. I am very unsure of when I ovulate and beginning to suspect it is in the first 11 days of my cycle! Ordered a big lot of opks. I cannot spend the $$ on a digital kit until I get the positive from a lower price strip. It was around $14 for 50 opk strips.

I use the expensive digital tests because for me they are pretty fool proof. After 20 months of TTC I want something to be easy... I would suggest starting on day 9 or 10 this first month and only test 1 time per day. once you get closer to say day 12 maybe switch to 2 times a day. After a couple of moths of this you will probably have a better idea of when to start testing and you won't have to use as many test sticks.

My cycle ended March 30th. I took a test today April 4th with first morning urine, which is what the directions called for. And I'm already at peak fertility! I would've missed it this month!
