Question

Opk detecting pregnancy

I am currently 6dpo and have been testing using hcg tests and using up my last opk sticks. The hcg are coming out negative but opk are giving very strong readings, strong enough to question whether they are positive or not! My last cycle I used opk as my dpo went on and they faded back to very faint but this time they are strong. Are they possibly picking up hcg hormone??

Doubtful. You always have LH in your system and can have luteal phase surges. Or there's the possibility that you didn't ovulate when you expected and your body is gearing up to give it another go. An hpt would pick up the hcg before the opk - with an hpt, you'd only need a hint of a line to be a positive.

agree with previous person. an OPK can be positive when pregnant but an HPT would be positive first.
