Has anyone here heard of, or tried cervical cap insemination?

I honestly can't imagine asking my partner to try this. Is it weird to be feel embarrassed by the whole process already? We only just started charting my temp this month, and I felt self conscious, like I'm trying too hard... Do you think I just need to get over it, be more grown up about it, and suggest different things to him?

I had thought about buying this but decided instead to try normal intercourse and soft cups to keep the sperm near the cervix and give them a better chance. I got pregnant my first cycle with soft cups. I had a cp, but I had been trying for years without a positive so now I am going to keep using them.
