Been spotting since the 17th of February what does it mean?

Ok so at 9 dpo i started spotting. At first it was light pink then started to brown. I really thought we had it right this month. Then of course i started my period on the 22nd. Well period is over and im still spotting this dark brown. Im really concerned now. Technically ive now been bleeding for 14 days. Could it had been a chemical, of course i never got a positive test though. Has this happened to anyone else? Any advise or comments would be appreciated.
