Please help! Does/can Mucinex delay ovulation??

Ok ladies, here's the scoop. I am on CD55 today and totally lost for answers. I tried Mucinex this cycle and began just before when I THOUGHT I would ovulate. One package later, nothing. So I began another package. Still nothing, so I stopped it. If you've taken it before and did the math, you probably realized that's 28 DAYS of Mucinex... probably much longer than I should've taken it, but I kind of felt that ov was always right around the corner.

My cycles are long and irregular, but still range around 40-50 days. It hasn't been this long in almost a year. Been doing OPKs for almost 6 weeks, BBTing too- doesn't seem to have a clear thermal shift (in case I missed the +OPK), recently got a BFN and no AF yet. I'm so confused and frustrated by this cycle. Any thoughts or ideas? Thanks!
