Question

Is it possible to be further along than I thought?

Hey Ladies, So 3 days ago I got my BFP (yay) My last cycle started on the 27th dec 2014 and I started having symptoms from the 8th Jan 2015, tender swollen breasts, extreme fatigue, crazy sore lower back, mild cramps etc. My breasts are now more than twice the size they are normaly. So i saw the midwife today and she seems to think that I may be further along than I orginally thought. She suspects that I may have actually concieved after my previous cycle (which was the 5th dec 2014) She felt that my symptoms are too advanced for a 3week and 5 day pregnancy... so my question is this - has anyone else experienced advanced symptoms really early in pregnancy and then found out they were further along than they initially thought? My AF on the 27th was medium flow but only lasted about 48hours but there was definitely more than just spotting. I had done a pregnancy test just before that AF came on the 27th and it was a firm negative. This is why I am assuming I am just shy of 4 weeks.

Every pregnancy is different. It is possible to have a "period" around the time you would have had one so its possible. They should be able to tell when you have your first ultrasound by measuring how big the sac is. There is also the possibility of twins, that would make your levels higher. It could just be that this is the way your body is reacting to the hormones. Congrats :)
