Question

Unbearable pain first period after miscarriage/D&C with endometriosis

So I had a D&C on the 24th Dec after my baby passed away at 7 weeks. Yesterday I started my first period since. I have endometriosis and my periods are always painful but oh my gosh!
I am in so much pain and having such bad contractions it's like i'm miscarrying all over again. Panadol, heat packs, hot showers etc. nothing is working. I chose to have the D&C because I couldn't handle the pain, I had multiple morphine injections in the ED.
I don't know what to do I can't handle the pain anymore I'm a mess. My GP hasn't got any appointments for weeks. Anyone have any ideas on coping with the pains?

I had a warm bath and used a wheat pack but I didn't have as much as what you are going through by the sounds! My first period after d&c started new years eve... it was heavier and more cramping/sore lower back than have had since my teenage years.

Did you go under a midwife/obstetrician? With postnatal care they can often see you a lot quicker than your usual GP but just rest, try putting warm compresses to the area, it's just natures way after what has happened.

Thanks for the reply, sorry for your loss :( Just GP, I was supposed to be booked in to see a midwife for the first time at about 9 weeks. I'm happy to have AF so that we can start ttc again but it's hard to have the same pains, such an awful reminder of what I don't have anymore :(
