Question

TTC After Loss

Was it hard for you to TTC again after multiple miscarriages? I had 3 consecutive miscarriages in 2011 and I'm feeling really on the fence. I feel like maybe being a mom just isn't in my future.

Had a few repeat losses also and became pregnant afterwards. Have you had any testing done? Have you tried the baby aspirin? Stay with it and don't give up. A baby is in your future! GL!

I had 4 miscarriages last year and still trying. I'd ask the same question as Gquinn, have you had any testing done? I saw a specialist after 3 miscarriages in a row and is good to get some knowledge into what's going on.

I had 3 miscarriages and still found myself having to do my own research and diagnose myself. My doctor just really thought it was bad luck and if I just kept trying what i was already doing eventually it would work. I really had to advocate for myself to try a new approach. This cycle i pushed for treatment for immune issues with steroids, blood clotting issues with daily blood thinning injections and I made them double my progesterone supplementation with injections and suppositories. Now I am 17 weeks pregnant and pretty sure I wouldn't be if I hadn't pushed for treatment.

I've had a very, very difficult time getting pregnant. I've been on baby aspirin for at least 1.5-2 months consistently. Also, I discovered on my own that if you have PCOS it hinders implantation (check on naturalfertilityinfo.com). My acupuncturist also has me on protease, which she say is similar to Wobenzyme. I would think with 3 miscarriages in a row that you need more investigation into what's going wrong. Also, look on my profile page for sites to try & think about having testing for auto-immune issues.

I had genetic testing done and tested positive for RO-Anti-SS-A and Anti-SS-B antibodies. It was linked to Sjogrens syndrome. I would have to have a blood thinner shot daily, as well as weekly ultrasounds to monitor the babies heart for heart block.

Hmmm...I'm sorry about the Sjogren's problem. There is a lady on this site "Ericalee" whose pregnant now & she's really sweet. She has a different autoimmune disease, but saw someone named Dr. Kwa-Kim (I've read her story multiple times =)) somewhere here in the US & that's how she finally got her rainbow baby. I don't know anything about that doctor, but I know some drs do phone consults, so maybe think about that.
