Decaf has around 5 mg compared to normal coffee which has around 150 mg. So decaf is very safe. I believe it has to go thru a lot of processes to get decaffeinated tho and the chemicals involved are no bueno. In general I think anything that is altered to be different from how it should be isn't great for you. Like margarine and butter. Butter has fat but it's better for you simply because it's real food that hasn't been modified. If I were you I'd cut it down to 1 cup of green tea a day if possible. It has around 25 mg per cup of caffeine which is nice and safe for ttc plus flavonoids which are anti cancer. It can decrease your ability to absorb folic acid so just supplement extra. If you crave hot drinks thru out the day try having the cup of green tea and then some herbal teas as well which naturally are caffeine free. Raspberry leaf tea is good and also good when ttc as there is something in it that helps the uterus prepare for pregnancy as well as labor if you're already pregnant.

I drank about 8 cups of coffee a day with all my first 3 kids, drank non with my 4th and had a mc, drank about 4 a day with my 5th , and I drink about 2 a day now. Its never done me any harm, but each to there own I guess, funny thing is I know ladies who wont drink coffee or eat runny eggs or soft cheese etc but smoke 10 ciggies a day haha.

I drank a disgusting amount of coffee with my first pregnancy, no issues. With my second, I cut it down to 2 cups a day while ttc and 1-2 a day while pregnant...I drank a lot of chai tho, no issues. Seeing as caffeine dehydrates u, make sure ur taking in ample amounts of water. I alternated between btl'd H2O and G2 throughout the day, too much H2O will throw off ur electrolyte balance, so be careful there too. And read up on ur herbal teas, there are a few that arent baby safe.
