Question

Experience with preseed.....

Going to try preseed for the very first time this month. Can anyone give their experiences using it, and is it worth it?

I have used it and while I didn't conceive I did really like the way it felt. Some don't agree but I thought it felt more natural than other lubes. Also I read on multiple sites that a study show canola oil has no affect on sperm motility and it's cheap. Some girls think it's gross to use food on your lady parts but in my opinion if you can ingest it it must be somewhat safe to put inside you. Most people who use it say it works fine. I don't mind it and haven't had any infections. Also mustard oil makes sperm hyperactive and very mobile and scientist want to further explore it as a lube for people with poor sperm motility... I think I'm gonna give that a try this month just for fun.

We had been TTC for 16 months and used pre seed early on for 5 cycles. While it is a good product and goes a long way (you can use much less than the package insert recommends) it did not help us get pregnant then. My husband had a few complaints - it not feeling natural - and we stopped it. This past cycle we decided to use up the last little bit of it on our final attempt to conceive #5 and did succeed. Whether pre seed was the reason or not I don't know as I was also on a lot of supplements and fertility medications. Pre seed is well worth trying. There is no downside to it, only a potential upside. Best wishes and the Lord's blessings.

I just researched the mustard oil. Just out of curiosity how are you going to use it? Applying it like other lubricants?

Yup. I find a clean empty bottle that will dispense nicely for lubricant and use it just like any other lube. I won't be inserting it into my hoo ha directly. I think overall what your body produces is best for ttc but if you need assistance with moisture why not something that makes sperm really mobile? My only thing is it might be most affective as close to ovulation as possible so ill probably use it after I get a positive opk so that the swimmers get a kick start swimming out of my hostile vagina and sperm friendly reproductive tract ; )

I meant and into my sperm friendly reproductive tract. Doing this on my kindle with auto correct makes me look illiterate rather than grammatically correct. Stupid technology.

We used it for the first time this month. I don't know if it helped us get pregnant but it helped us in other ways. First of all I have felt much better down there than other months. By the end of my fertile cycle I'm usually like... dreading sex and looking forward to my 2 weeks to recover but this month we've actually just been having fun and I'm feeling like I'm still good to go even tho we don't have to!

We used it internally and it's just really helped me continue to feel 'fresh' down there even with all the BDing. I never thought of myself as like really dry but after this month I don't think I'll ever go back to not using it, and my husband has loved it. However we only used like 1gram (the first tick mark). That's more than enough.

Haha twillems I know exactly what you mean about technology, I am on my phone and it does the same thing. I knew you wouldn't want those swimmers swimming out... All this work would be pointless then. I too have always felt just being natural was better for trying to conceive but over the years my body has changed with age and think I need a little help with lubrication, all I can do is try and if either hubby or myself doesn't like it we won't use it again.

Thank you for the info thecadenceoflife I hope to have a good experience with it like you. I have always been one not to use anything like this even when we weren't trying to get pregnant. Lately I feel very dry during my ovulation days, even hubby has mentioned it. I don't know if its hormones or just my body's way of saying this is too much work and I'm on strike. Lol. Im so glad you told me how much you use because I was really wondering that, don't want to use too much so I will definitely start out at that amount.
