Question

CD 10 and have bloody/brown stretchy discharge

I have never had this before. Just scared the shit out of me when I went pee and looked in the toilet to see this, brings back too many memories of all my miscarriages. Anyone experience this early in a cycle and what the heck is it?? Freaked out so any advice will be greatly appreciated!

Really? Did it go away, and did you have any other symptoms? I'm concerned I have an infection or something.

It was only that one day, I have had it twice I had it about 3 years ago, in that cycle I got pregnant an this cycle im not, I think mine is from ovulation cos it fits in with my fertile window.

If this is your ovulation time frame (you are mentioning "stretchy" discharge) it could be ovulation bleeding. It has happened to me before. Best wishes and the Lord's blessings.

I just started using opk's today and it was negative. Last cycle I didn't ovulate until CD 16. Could it still be from ovulation just that it will soon be nearing? I feel a little bit crampy and bloated and in my mind I'm questioning infection, if its not better by Monday I am calling to get in to see doc.

You can ovulate without seeing a positive OPK beforehand. It is possible that if you had started testing earlier you could have seen a positive result. Of course this is speculative. If you are charting your temperatures you can see in hindsight when ovulation occurred. If you are not charting I recommend it highly to you.

That makes sense. Guess I will have to wait and see. Thank you for recommending charting, I have done it in the past just don't think it would work well now as I am up several times a night with my daughter and don't rest well so temps would be all over the place. Wish that was a possibility though.

No matter what, I would try charting for a couple of cycles to see if you can detect ovulation on the chart and of course counter checking with OPKs. All the best.
