Can you have LH surges without ovulation on Clomid?

I am on cycle day 25 and still have not ovulated (clomid on days 5-9). I was using the ClearBlue Advanced digital ovulation but have come to despise its flashing smiley face and don't think its very accurate unless I am surging multiple times?

I got the flashing smiley on cycle days 15-18 and then a peak on day 19. Had my blood draw on day 22 and no ovulation which I knew since my temps were still low. The got blank face and suddenly peak reading again on day 23, still no ovulation. I finally said screw clearblue and bought the generic line tests and got a a positive on day 24 and then a negative today on day 25, still no ovulation, ugh. So frustrated and just wondering if anyone has experienced this and does it mean I'm having multiple LH surges?

I was using the digital ovulation tests and had all sorts of issues. I friend gave me a box and so I was using both the CB and FR brands and they were giving me different answers and so I have up on then, especially the ClearBlue (I was also getting the blinking w/o the solid smiley - and really I hind the smiley face irrigating)

I talked to my OB and when I went on Clomid I switched to the Wondfo brand dip stick ovulation predictors and have been very happy. Round one I got a positive test followed my heavy Ovulation cramps and and then a BFP @ 13dpo. (MC @ 6wks) My 2nd round on Clomid no spike and no Ovulation no cramps. The LD increased but never spiked. 3rd and current round I got a positive on the woldfo and heavy cramps again and now in the TTW

I trust the tests since the ovulation pains and the positive LD surges match....hope that helps and sorry for the long post!

Your first flashing smiley, may have been caused by the clomid, they can give false OPK readings that being said, it is very possible that your body will gear up to O (you start getting an LH surge), but, for what ever reason you body fails to O. Later, your body may try to O again, so another LH surge, another smiley, but, again, the body can fail to release the egg. It's possible that your clomid dosage wasnt strong enough or, your body didnt want to cooperate this month (annovulatory cycles happen to every one once in a while).
