Positive OPK Day 5 of a light period!
I am really confused....today is day 5 of my "period" which was lighter than usual for the most part. Today its pretty much done just still a little pinkish discharge when I wipe but nothing in panties really. Well I took an opk test this morning with my first pee after taking my bbt which was 97.2 (decreased). My cycles are usually like 25-26 days long and periods can last between 4-5 days all together. But to my surprise after I dripped the pee on to the stick it immediatley had a dark line at test line and then a dark line at the control line. I tested positive for ovulation but how??? I'm still spotting from coming off my period!!! What can this mean???? When should I take a hpt??? It's a very strong and immediate positive!!! I took picture should i post??

I would take an HPT just to be sure, but more than likely you got a false positive on your OPK. Some women get a positive OPK early in their cycle and then another one near ovulation. Keep checking your BBT and see if you get a temp spike in the next day or so that would indicate early ovulation. If not, I would just keep doing the OPKs and wait for the next positive to indicate ovulation.

Thank you tessa. I actually took another opk this morning and it was the same..an immediate positive. Test line a little darker than the control line. I then took the same urine and tested with a hpt and got Ibbelieve a negative. Im really confused and I honestly feel pregnant. I am trying to make an appointment to get blood work done. I know 2 positive opks on only cycle day 5-6 is too early for ovulation.
