Question

Clomid and BBT

So clomid is driving me crazy. This is my second cycle on it. My problem is that clomid makes my temps. so high that I have a hard time determining when I ovulated because I never get a huge rise because my temps. were already so high to begin with. It goes up somewhat but not a lot like it used to prior to being on clomid. I've never had a hard time determining when I ovulated. Does anyone else have that same issue? Then around the time I thought I was going to ovulate I had the worst ovary pain I've ever felt before. Didn't feel anything like it my first round but this time it was extreme. I was taking deep breaths. It wasn't a stabbing pain more of a dull pain.
Then I shouldn't have done this because I never have before but I decided since I didn't get a clear rise to take another opk and I got a positive....after I already had a positive 4 or 5 days prior...I'm so confused. Advice please!!

Sounds like Clomid might be kind of a freaky-deaky drug for your body! Have you asked your doctor about it? They might want to switch you to Femara, which might have fewer crazy effects. Sorry you are dealing with this, it sounds unpleasant and confusing. GL!

Well you know your are ovulating if you have pains. Sounds like they should give you LH blood tests and scans to see what is happening. Do you know how many follicles you have, maybe you have a few? I never temp, though doing blood tests I have a definite Ovulation day, mine is pretty regular. I get hot flashes from Femara, possibly that would wreck my temping too. It is worth it though

I have had hot flashes since I started Clomid. I am not tracking my BBT but I am using OPK and it seems to be more reliable and helps a lot more.
Also, which OPK are you using? The ones with the lines can be kind of tricky. Some will actually show lines even if you are not ovulating. My OPK pack says that if the second line is as dark as or darker than the first line then I am ovulating. My doctor has me come in at day 21 to do blood work to see if I actually ovulated. Are you doing this as well? Or just tracking by OPK?
Prayers and Baby Dust to you!

I am using the Wondfo opk. So it sounds like it's the same one that you are using or a similar one anyways. My doc isn't doing bloodwork at this point. He wanted to put me on for 3 months and see what happens kind of. I just come in every month when I get my pd to make sure i don't have cysts on my ovaries before he gives me another doseage.
