What am i experiencing?

I am 5 days late. it's not that much of a worry at the moment but what is a worry is that i've been having sharp pains shooting in my lower abdominal. I'm not sure what it is i keep feeling like i'm going to receive my period but then I check and nothing. I'm not sure if i should be worried about the pains. I've been moody for 2 weeks now and my breasts are tender but this is normal with my period. I have been stressed lately maybe it threw my menstrual cycle off? I have not taken an EPT.
