Can OPK predict pregnancy as well as at hCG test?

So I've been doing a lot of reading up on this and my sister is actually the first one to tell me about this. I'm only 10 days esitmated dpo. Ive taken a couple pregnancy test and they seemed pretty negative. I know it still super early, but I wanted to see if I could possible make out a line. Well I tried the Opk tonight as well as another pg test and the test was what appears neg but the opk had a sort of faint yet pretty detectable 2nd line. Does this mean I could be pregnant but its just not showing on the pg test or is this false hope? Im a little confused by all of this. TIA :-)

HPTs pick up HCG.
OPKs pick up LH. However they are very similar.
There is normally some LH in your system all the time, but in low levels. It's likely this is what your OPK has picked up with the faint line.
OPKs can pick up HCG and show a positive. However HPTs are normally MORE sensitive than OPKs, so you will get a positive on a HPT BEFORE you would get a OPK to show as positive because of a pregnancy.
If your HPT was negative, then this is the test you should be going off. Though 10dpo is very early. So your not out yet.

I heard about this as well, that opk's can tell that you are pregnant. I had one ovulation test left and I decided to try it. Got a big negative & I am 4 wks pregnant. Idk, it might work on some women, didn't on me!

OPKs can indicate pregnancy, but not until long after an HPT already has. I got a positive OPK at 6 weeks pregnant, but got my BFP at 11DPO.
Like Mistique said, LH is always present in your system at some level, so that is what you OPK is picking up.
