Spotting/mild cramping 12 days til period due?

Has anyone ever experienced light spotting and mild cramps 12 days (+ or -) till your period was due? DH and I have been actively ttc since our daughter was born sleeping on 7/10/14. I have never had spotting so far from my period. Since delivering in July, my period has been fairly regular so starting AF this early is unusal. Has anyone ever experienced this? Maybe ovulation bleeding?

I get this every cycle. It's because my thyroid is slightly high. Get some blood work done. My Doc told me that even the tiniest increase in your thyroid can cause breakthrough bleeding and infertility.
