Question

Pain meds in the 2 week wait??

I am 7dpo and did you the OPK this month. I have been trying to concieved for 5 years with the whole when it happens it happens. Decided this month is was time to start charting again. I had to have an unexpected root canal on Tuesday. I am in so much pain right now and it getting infected. The doctor prescribed ibuprofen for me to take and norco. I do not want to take a chance of messing with implantation if the egg did get fertilized this month, however I also do not want a huge tooth infection and I am in a lot of pain. A LOT. Didn't sleep at all last night. Is it safe to take pain medicine until you get a + test and see the doctor. With my first daughter I had and still do have horrible migraines and took darvecet but that is not longer on the market.
advice please.

I was on endone during my 2ww which is one of the most powerful pain killers, they give it to u for pain relief after a c-section and my specialist said it was fine, it was to relieve pain at ovulation as it's the only pain relief that works for me as I was on clomid. I'm now 13 weeks preg and baby 100% perfect and all nuchal testing perfect. Speak to your doctors office if your concerned. Good Luck

This may sound weird but did u get a root canal because your tooth was rotting? I only ask because I've had two rotten infected teeth get pulled out a coule years apart each time I got them pulled out I was pregnant in a month I joked how a rotten tooth is a good form of both control I never got pregnant the five years I had the first rotten tooth after my first two children

Ibuprofen is not a great idea. At 7dpo I think you're fine but it isn't recommended for pregnancy so I wouldn't take any more. If you were pre ovulation I would be telling you to stop taking it immediately as anti inflamatories are not recommended in your follicular phase. This is because ovulation is actually in inflammatory process and as ibuprofen is an anti inflamatory. It has also been said that it can make the outer skin if the follicle tough impeding ovulation and or the hatching process later in implantation. Don't panic I don't think one or two doses will have hurt at this stage of your cycle because your egg will have grown without interference but it's best to steer clear of anything that could remotely interfere. Some women take antiinflamatories for period pain which is really early in the process and is possibly ok but I resist the urge for the above reasons.

Goodness that was a mouthful, pardon the pun! Best of luck and fingers crossed this is your month!

A dentist told me an infection anywhere is you body can prevent conception. He seemed to know that dental infections stopped women from getting pregnant. You can take paracetamol
