That's ridiculous sending you for an ultrasound you won't see anything unless your a week past your missed period at even at 5 weeks you'll more than likly only see a empty sac. What they souls of done is first confirm with there office pregnancy test then do a blood draw to have your HCG and progesterone levels checked to confirm a pregnancy and then send you for an ultrasound around 6-7 weeks for a dating scan.
Ps I'm 13w preg and this is my 6th pregnancy so I know the drill very well. This is normally the way it is done in most countries however some make u wait even longer for a scan.
Don't be surprised if u see nothing on the scan and they try and tell u your not preg. Tell them to run bloods.
Congrats and GL

Sorry I've got baby brain just read your previous post if you are 9 weeks tomorrow then heck yes they should be sending you for a scan now. Sorry I thought you were a lot earlier and only just found out.
Ring them back and see if they'll do one sooner. Some countries I think make you wait until 12 weeks which it sounds like that's what they're doing. Every country is different.

Ok i will be 11 weeks the date they gave me to go for. I'm all new to this and they don't explain much so I have to research shit lol but I live in Philadelphia I'm going to call them and ask them if I can go earlier. I think maybe they did that because I didn't know when I ovulated and when I concived all I know is when my last period was and when my period was due last month in Sept.

It's not at all uncommon to not receive an early u/s.
It boils down to your ob and your insurance, really. My ob with my ds didn't routinely do u/s's until 20 weeks. My ob with my dd does them at the initial pre-natal. There's no reason to panic. You're fine waiting until your scheduled appointment.
