Using Expired CBFM Test Sticks ??? (4 Months)

So this will be my 3rd month using the Clearblue Fertility Monitor, I've been told buying sticks that are just expired or just about to expire are usually half the price and work just the same. I used a box that exp 08/2014 both in August & September so they were only a month expired and worked normally. However I ran out and am now looking at buying 2 boxes of 30 for $40 (Usually a box of new ones are $45 for just 30 sticks) only catch is they expired 06/14. Has anyone ever used sticks as old as 4-5 months and had them work as well??
