Unfortunately I have no experience with ectopic a but I just wanted to say I'm sorry you're going through this. How very heartbreaking for you and your partner. I have done a lot of reading tho and at this point I wouldn't say you are without hope moving forward. I wish I had more to say and I hope you recover quickly. Hugs.

Whoops, fumble fingers! ...my twin sister had a major internal haemorrhage also after her uterus was perforated during a d&c for a miscarriage. I hope they have you on covering antibiotics for your recovery. This is a situation where you do not want to risk infection. Our peritoneal cavity is usually sealed off from the outside world so you are at risk after this event. If you feel feverish in any way make a big deal of it! Don't be worried about making a fuss because it wouldn't be over nothing. Also prior to my and my sisters haemorrhage we both had healthy iron levels. We both now require iron infusions at times to keep our iron up years on. Our recovery after our haemorrhages would have been better I feel if we'd started on iron supplementation right away. You'll need this for your fertility too. It will probably take weeks for you to feel halfway normal. My heart truly goes out to you. 'm already anemic so Im already taking iron but also feeling pretty down and I lost over a liter and a half of blood when the Rupture Occurred. I Received antibiotics before and after but no at home antibiotics. Thanks so much for listening. I'm lucky to have two beautiful girls already but just didn't feel complete.
