Question

Has anyone gotten positive with one brand and negative with FRER?

I'm really confused. I took a test yesterday morning, the generic version of the First Response, equate brand I think and it was positive. I didn't believe it since it was so early and according to their chart only 54% of women get a positive that early from their test so I dipped the other test from the box to be sure, and it was positive too (both light positives but there were obviously lines). SO I held my pee yesterday and bought a box of First Response to be sure, since they're supposed to be more sensitive; I took one yesterday after holding my pee and it was negative but I thought maybe it was b/c it wasn't my first morning urine. I took one this morning with my first morning urine and it was also negative. The First Response are supposed to be <99% at this point (3 days before expected period) so I don't know why it's still negative when the cheaper tests were positive. Has anyone gotten positive with one brand and neg. with FRER?

The Equate brand is blue dye, correct? If so, I'd be skeptical. Blue dyes in general are bad for false positives given within the proper time frame, but I hear particularly bad things about the Equate test. I'd hold off a couple days and retest with a frer.
