Question

Ovulation and OPKS?

Ok so I keep seeing everyone suggest to keep testing with opks until you get a negative after a positive. So I wanted to know why they do this? I got a positive opk yesterday around 6pm and then by 7pm today it was negative, can some tell me when they thing I might have ovulated or if I'm still waiting.

From what I understand, you're projected to ovulate between 12-48 hours following your first opk +. Some women will have positive tests for two or more days in a row, but from what I've read, you should assume ovulation will follow your first positive. Temping along with testing could give you further insight, but for now, bd'ing on the day of your surge and the three following it will help increase your odds of catching ovulation.

Who suggests to keep testing? That's unnecessary and sounds crazy expensive. As Paperheart said, you should assume you will ovulate within 12-36 hours after your first positive. Good luck!
