i should mention (but forgot, as i'm more foggy than usual!), my skin and hair have suddenly become mini oil-slicks. totally ridicuous... has me scratching my head, because "oily" isn't usually a part of my cycle vocabulary.

I am still too early to test (9dpo) but it sounds like maybe you might not have enough pregnancy hormone to be detected yet, or AF is just late for her visit. Certain things can throw off getting AF on time. If it were me, I would test each day from here on out, and if you are still testing negative and no sign of AF after a bit, I'd check with the doctor to see what he/she suggests. Good luck to you!

thanks, mchick. my cycles are normal length since my youngest was born, and even high-stress situations don't throw it, long or short. and we've been in some mega-stressful situations. i'll retest tomorrow if af is still mia; this just isn't normal, pg or not.

I'm in my early 30's, as well, and have been having strange cycles following a miscarriage. I recently asked my dr to run some tests to try and pinpoint what's going on. After all things have checked out normal, she basically blames age + stress and says that all bets are off for what *was* normal in your 20's and said the 30's are a new ball game. So, at the drop of a hat, all of my normals changed and apparently that's to be expected in your 30's. :-/
