Basal Thermometer

If I am not pregnant this cycle, I am going to start recording my temps. What basal thermometer do you suggest? I have seen them range in price from $6 to $100 and I am not sure why or which is the best.

Also, when do you start taking your temp? Do you start while on your period or after it is done?

I have a cheap version (it has the BD logo on it) that I received for free when taking classes with the Couple to Couple League. I have been using it for years and it works perfectly. It does not have to be an expensive thermometer at all, just one that is designed for BBT charting. I take my temperature every day from Cd1 through the last day.

I use the cheapie from Fairhaven Health and paid $8 or $9 and it's fantastic. I usually and lured into expensive things but for once and glad I went with the basic one!
