Does anyone know how to distinguish between clomid symptoms and pregnancy symptoms?
I am on my second round of clomid and 7 DPO, not sure if the symptoms I have are pregnancy or clomid related. I know it's too early to tell. But I can't help but wonder if anyone out there has some experience with this. I am bloated, very moody, tossing an turning and can't sleep, very vivid dreams, itchy & uncomfortable feeling in breasts.

I did a years worth of it at the highest dose and all I can say is for me it never got any better and I was an emotional wreck every time. The side effects were just too much for me to handle and I stopped taking it. I had mood swings and bloating, painful periods, painful breasts, insomnia, hot flashes which caused the insomnia, weight gain, higher BBT, extremely painful ovulation paired with over stimulated ovaries along with nausea and vomiting at least once a day. It made my life hell and everyone around me was done with my attitude. I'm glad I stopped taking it because it wasn't worth the trouble and I definitely didn't get pregnant off of it even though I thought I was pregnant every month. I went on to Femara and gave up on it after two months because even though the side effects were not as bad as they were on Clomid, I still had issues with it.

The symptoms you are feeling probably isn't the Clomid, after you ovulate your progesterone rises which is what causes all of those symptoms. Unfortunately they are very similar to pregnancy symptoms so it's very easy to get your hopes up! You wouldn't be having pregnancy symptoms at 7DPO. I'm waiting to ovulate after my 3rd round of Clomid, the 1st round, I symptom spotted and just knew I was preggo, I knew better the 2nd round which actually did end up in pregnancy, but was a chemical, so this round, I'm determined not to let all the symptoms go to my head and wait until I miss AF to take a test. AWW!! Thanks for the replies ladies. @ kvstone- I keep forgetting about the progesterone part. I get so wrapped up in daydreaming about a pregnancy. I had a missed miscarriage in February. And now I want nothing more than to be pregnant again. The two week wait is the worst and I end up driving myself crazy during the entire time.
RedVelvet24- All that sounds so scary, all I have had is really bad hot flashes and really bad pains when I ovulated this month.
Purplekitty- I always have had irregular cycles..sometimes 29, 34, 41 day cycles. It drives me nuts because its so hard to determine when I am going to ovulate next or if I am really late and going to get a BFP!!
