Question

3rd month TTC, what else can we do this time around

I am 36, DH is 45, and this will be our 3rd month TTC. We have been using OPKs and I am doing bbt, checking CM and CP. Last month I tried Mucinex. I have very regular cycles and a pretty consistent LP. Even though this is our 3rd month trying, I have been tracking things for awhile now to prepare.

Any suggestions what we can try this month to improve our chances?

Are you taking prenatal vitamins? They can really ready the uterus for pregnancy. I always take them 2 months before I ttc. How fit and healthy are you? Are you getting plenty of sleep? All important factors when ttc. I am 36 and my husband is 45!! We are currently ttc baby number 3! Remember after 6 months you can seek fertility help at the doctors. Do not delay!! Good luck hopefully you will conceive soon naturally!! X

Try adding presented lubricant. A lot of presented users say they try for months but get pregnant the first or second month of trying presented. Also have sex every other day in your fertile window rather than everyday. Some say it increases sperm quality and quantity. Baby aspirin is also a good supplement to try. It helps with your uterine lining and implantation. Lastly I read that benadryl AFTER ovulation can help with implantation if you have a fertilized egg. It hinders the natural histamines in the uterus. But taking it before ovulation can dry up your cervical mucus Otherwise try to think about it as little as possible. Good luck!

Do you actually track your cycles on a chart? Fertility friend is a good one and I use the app Ovia! It has a section where I can log that I have taken my vitamins so I don't double dose, I so do that otherwise!! It really helps plotting your info on a graph and interpreting your symptoms! Try it it's free!

Dang it, preseed lubricant. Stupid autocorrect. Not presented.

I'm in the same boat. I stopped taking BC on 7/19/14 and have been TTC since. I haven't been BD'ing every other day during my fertile window which I plan to do this month. I haven't done any OPK's, charting, or tempting.. Hoping it may come naturally! I've been wondering about preseed though.

I answered a similar question 1 day ago, now under "newest question" page 3. TTCbabywheeler asked "what are you using to get pregnant". If you are interested in looking up my answer you can see the supplements that I am using. I am not saying you have to use them or that you need them. This is just what I am doing to increase my chances. When I answered the question yesterday I received the comment "not helpful" 3 times. I don't know why.....Since I don't like to rewrite my extensive list and then possibly get negative feedback again I let you decide whether you want to look my answer up or not. Best wishes and the Lord's blessings.

Thank you all very much. I use Ovia and thus time around added in fertility fried too. I am taking prenatals, folic acid, b complex, vitamin e, fish oil, and added macs powder this time. I've heard of taking baby aspirin and eating pineapple but they sound a little dangerous if not done right.... Have not done pressed, guess we can add that.
Thank you again for taking the time to answer

I recommend taking prenatals and extra folic acid (up to 5000mcg (5mg) is safe), DHA is good for u and baby-to-be. Preseed is great stuff, not a miracle worker but a good tool for ur arsenal. Softcups/diva cup will help keep sperm up by ur cervix (and undies clean n dry). U could ask hub to take some vitamins to improve his sperm quality/quantity. After 6 months, if u still dont have a bfp, see ur doctor and discuss testing and the possibility of clomid or femara. So far tho, ur doing a lot more at 3 months than some are at 6 months to a year. Stay positive! At the end of the day, u only have so much control over how things happen.
Best of luck!! =))

Hi, you can also try a fertility monitorâ?¦it gets to know your cycle and takes the guess work out of when to BD! Good luck!
