Question

Is cramping normal?

After a year of fertility treatments, I finally got two lines last night on a first response. The positive was strong (darker than the control line). I took an additional consult diagnostics test. Test line was just as dark as the control line. I took a digital and it said pregnant. Just now I took another early response test and the test line is darker than the control (same shade as first test). I just went to get my blood drawn and the doctor should have the hcg and progesterone levels this afternoon. My question is that I've been experiencing mild cramping in my uterine area and my pelvic bone. Is this normal? Should I be concerned?

Also, I'm 4 weeks and 5 days from LMP. Just got the hcg level back from the doctor stated my 1435. Progesterone levels are 19.1.

According to Americanpregnancy.org " During the first trimester, cramping during pregnancy often results from normal changes that occur during your babyâ??s development. Cramps can generally be described as pulling sensations on one or both sides of your abdomen."

Hope this helps.

I answered a very similar question earlier so I will copy and paste that response :) I am 8 1/2 weeks pregnant and had AF-like cramps pretty much since before implantation. It's just the uterus growing and expanding (it has to double in size in a month!), as long as you don't start bleeding profusely the baby is probably just fine! I still have AF-like cramps occasionally but the baby is growing right on schedule. No need to worry! Congrats! :)
