Weird Period or pregnant??

First of all, my period the past 4 months has always come on the 29th and lasted 6 days regular. Well this month HAd many many symptoms...then started 2 days before AF was due with pinkish brownish discharge, the red blood with clots like normal, but only lasted 2 days, then stopped. We are TTC but I 'm wondering should I bother testing and getting my hopes up or is this some weird random period????
