We used diva cups for a few cycles but did not become successful conceiving. I read a post a while ago that discouraged their use because of the material they are made of and the contact the sperm has with it....I am certain there are a lot of different opinions out there on this. I believe sperm has only a few seconds after the initial contact to get started in the right direction. The ones that do not make that contact in time will be left behind and die with or without the use of softcups. All the best.

I would think it would be easier and more effective to lie there with your hips up for 20 minutes or so after BD, I never had anything "fall out" after doing that. GL! :)

I never used softcups, but when we were TTC #2, I would lie with a pillow under my hips for about 15 minutes. You don't really need to lie there forever or with your legs in the air. Some semen will leak out after that, but by the 15 min mark, the strong swimmers have already started their journey... And those are the guys you want! Gl!

This cycle, so far, I tried bd with Softcups the first time & without them the 2nd time b/c my cervix points against my vaginal wall, so I wasn't sure the swimmers would make it in if there was a cup covering the cervix opening. I also have a very mild latex allergy & wasn't sure if that would cause problems. However, I've heard positive things about Softcups helping.
