Male Fertility home test
My partner and i have been ttc 9 months now, unsuccessful ..
Neither of us have any children and we both want them dearly!
I have had tests done to confirm ovulation, but my partner is a little reluctant to go to his doc for semen analysis.. (MEN!)
We got the at home test (Fertility Score) which tests sperm count as well as motility.
The results came back negative .. to say we where devestated is an understatement.
I know the gp tests are alot more accurate but can anyone whos used these tests or anyone who knows any info on them give me some hope that its not all bad yet...
And what would be the next step if it where to be my partners sperm?

memberI'm not sure what the sperm has to be for it to be negative, but if his count or motility is somewhat low there are options. He can start taking vitamins to try and increase both, and/or you can do IUI. My DH has low count and pretty bad motility but we just conceived after our 7th IUI cycle. It can be done! GL!

I got a test that we never ended up using. Not sure it was the same one, but I believe the it was positive for anything over 20 million (don't think it did motility). If he isn't ready to go to the doctor to do one yet, maybe try another at home one and if that is negative as well you should go to the doc. These tests won't tell you what the numbers are specifically, which is important. If it's slightly low supplements would probably help, but in other cases more might be needed. I know it's tough and guys are very sensitive about it, but it's really best to get the full analysis done just to know what the next steps are. You should also get the basic tests done. If it is MFI, depending on what the issue is a urologist (that specializes in infertility) is usually the next step. Ours was severe so we are going the IVF route, but I think that is much rarer. Also let him know it isn't something to be ashamed of and a lot of men go through this. Not sure if that will help, but you can try.

My husband and I just did the ept home test and the results where not good either and I don't think that thr is a word to describe that feeling I just put in an order for a multi vitamin that actually has bee pollen in with it and according to my acupuncture doctor it puts led in the pencil:) if you hear anything different from ur appt I'm open to suggestions :) best of luck and baby dust
