If your period was late then you most likely ovulated late. Your luteal phase(the period between ovulation and your period) is more consistent than the follicular phase(the period between your period and ovulation. But just because your period was late doesn't mean that you will ovulate late that cycle. You could ovulate the same day as normal. If you like to test frequently go on amazon and buy wondfo LH and HCG tests. You get 50 lh and 20 hcg tests for only around 20 dollars. I have beenusing them and I find them WAY easier to read and understand than the clearblue or first response. If the test line isn't as dark as the control it's negative. If it is as dark, it's positive. Plain and simple.
