C-Shaped Uterus?
A recent HSG showed an abnormality in my uterus (including no filling of the left tube). It was thought to initially be a fibroid, but a saline sonogram and uterine sonogram revealed I likely had a septum in my uterus.
My ob/gyn sent me for an MRI and I was just informed that I have an "arcuate uterus" which is c-shaped. After I got off the phone with her, I looked online and now I'm really confused because I can't find very much online about a c-shaped uterus and it sounds different from an arcuate uterus, which is more heart-shaped. She thinks it is significant since it showed up on all 3 tests, but an arcuate uterus doesn't sound like a very big deal when I look it up online. But again, there's hardly any mention of a c-shaped uterus related to an arcuate uterus.
Does anyone have experience with this issue? I am meeting with my RE on Thursday, and I know I'm going to make myself nuts googling this for the next 3 days.
Thanks!
