Can drinking too much water the night before affect the next mornings pregnancy test results?
I took a pregnanct test this morning I was supposed to get my period the day before, so I took it after one day of a missed period.The test result showed an extremely faint second line, so faint someone could miss it. It's not a evaporation line because it showed within the 3 minutes of taking the test. I just want to know if my excessive amount of water drinking the night before could of lightened the results the next day? I drank maybe six or seven glasses of water at dinner last night between 6 and 9pm and took the test the next morning at 6am.

Hello there. Yes drinking a lot of water the night before can affect how dark the 2nd line would be. You would be diluting the amount of hcg is in your urine. Think of diluting juice. Without water it's very concentrated. Add water and it becomes more and more diluted. Don't drink too much before you go to bed and test again ;)
