Question

Vitamin E & Prenatal?

I was reading in a vitamin guide book that a lab study showed that rats that could conceive but not carry full term were helped by Vitamin E supplements. There are other reasons too I am guessing I might be deficient in Vitamin E as well.

I always conceive easyâ?¦just never hold past 4.5-6 weeks along. I am wondering if I supplement my prenatal with Vitamin E 400 UI a day, it'd help sustain my pregnancy?

Any thoughts ladies?? :-)

Studies done on animals are not necessarily applicable to humans. The recommended amount of vitamin E daily is 400-800 I.U. It won't hurt to add additional vitamin E to your prenatal vitamin. I just would not take more than the 800 I.U. total. I am not sure to what extent it might be helpful in regards to preventing miscarriages. Low dose aspirin (81 mg) could be helpful to you as it has anti-inflammatory properties. All the best.

I did a low dose aspirin regimen and it didn't help :-/ My prenatal only has 30 I.U and my supplement has 400 I.U. I am on day 2 and honestly feel great. So, hopefully it really does help! :-)
