Worried! Small tummy @ 4 months
Im on my 4th month pregnancy now, this is our first baby. Just kinda worried, coz my tummy is not that noticeable, and people around me says it is still small. There is a bump and my husband and I can see that it is getting bigger compare last month but he also notices that its not that big. Im thinking that bcoz Im tall and a big girl, (I mean not that fat, but my bone structure is big) there is enough space inside of me to compensate the growing baby, but Should i be worried? Help!

I'm only 5'1 & didn't have a noticeable bump (to strangers) until 28-30 wks. Bump size varies from woman to woman & baby to baby. Also, it isn't a reflection of size of baby - I had two big babies & never had huge bumps. At 4 months pregnant, your baby is about 5 inches long & weighs about 5 oz, so there's no reason to have much of a bump at this point. Give it a couple more months, you'll pop! If your Dr hasn't already, he will start measuring your fundal height in the weeks to come. That is a much more accurate measurement of baby growth. Gl & congrats!

And ppl told me all the time that my bump was too small. Ignore them. Women can't win. ..it is either too small or too big. My first was born at 36 wks and weighed 7 lbs 4 oz. My 2nd was born at 37 wks & weighed 7 lbs 5 oz. Obviously, they were just fine & would have been larger than avg had I gone to term.
