Unusual AF-Should I Test?

I'm 14 dpo today. Yesterday, after having slight cramping for 4 days, I started seeing light pink spots when I went to the bathroom. Then last night, cramping harder, it got heavier and a little more red. Today it is the same. Usually I don't spot before AF, it goes straight to a medium flow with clots the first couple of days. And usually the worse the cramps, the harder the flow. But this time with the harder cramps, I barely had any flow.
My periods are very predictable, down to the day, and today is supposed to be my first day. But my flow is very predictable too usually & I have a blood clotting disorder so AF is usually heavy, especially the first couple of days.
I've been having headaches and nausea and it hasn't let up even today. I'm wondering, for one thing if others have had this happen and gotten a BFP on a hpt. And second, should I take another hpt (took one 8 dpo- BFN) or would it probably be a waste? My boyfriend asked me to only test if I really think it necess
