Day 53 of cycle! Negative tests but light spotting!!
ADVICE PLEASE!!! My last period was on 31/5/14 making today day 53! I have got no signs my period is coming (normally I have very sore boobs) but yesterday I had some very light bleeding when I went to he toilet! I've taken a test yesterday and it's negative. I'm wondering if this is implantation bleeding but surely this would have happened sooner? My periods are very irregular so I don't really know when I ov'd. I have been feeling very tired with back ache but I put that down to late nights and work. I'm using cheap internet tests so don't know how reliable they are?? I guess the answer is to just wait longer is it??

If your cycles are irregular then you may not have ov'd yet, or may have ov'd only in the last few days. I know how frustrating it is :-( (cd 62 here, and counting!). If you don't already, I highly recommend tracking your basal body temp - that will let you know if you've already ov'd or not, so you'll know when to expect your period/when to test. Unfortunately you're right, all you can do for now is wait it out (and maybe test once a week, just to be sure). The cheap internet tests are generally actually very sensitive and reliable, so you can trust those. Implantation bleeding is pretty uncommon, but if that was ib it would take a couple of days for enough hcg to build up in your system for a test to pick it up, so you may want to test tomorrow or the next day just to be sure. Thankyou for your reply. I don't track my temperature at present but thinking that might be the way to go. We've been ttc for 11 months now which is frustrating after falling pregnant straight away with my daughter! This is the 1st time I've ever 'missed' a period but jut think my bodies all over the place!
