Just got positive HPT but brief red spotting days later - any hope it's OK?
I'm a bit of an emotional wreck at the moment! I felt off all last week, and Saturday I took a PG test quite early (guessing it was about 11 dpo) with SMU and I was shocked at how quick it came up a dark positive. I took another FRER Saturday night to be sure, and same result. I made hubby get another brand of test and took a clear blue digital test Sunday morning with FMU and it was also positive. It had a weeks indicator that said 2-3 which seemed quite high for how early it is. Then, took the left over FRER digital Saturday night that came up Yes+ So - I figured it had to be true! Monday (Yesterday 14 dpo) around midday I was shocked to have a few drops of bright red spotting when I wiped. It was only that one time. Hubby and I did BD the evening before, so maybe that had something to do with it, but I was still devastated. It had just sunk in! Started kicking myself for taking a test so early. Dr said it could be from sex and to call back if it turns into flow. No spotting since.

member memberI don't blame you for worrying! ANY blood of any kind in pregnancy is worrisome. I do, tend to agree with your doctor though. I have had several friends that would spot after sex in early pregnancy. It stopped for them as their pregnancies progressed. Congratulations on your pregnancy!

Thanks for your answers ladies! Just wanted to share an update. Rather than wait 2 weeks for the first prenatal I went to my primary doctor today for urine test and blood test. Dr said the spotting was totally normal, and the urine test was strong positive. Keeping fingers crossed the bloodwork is good too :)
