We have 4 children and used the Shettles method twice - for our 2nd and for our 3rd child. We also used nutrition plans to get either a boy or girl. In our case these methods didn't work out. When we tried for a boy we had a girl instead. When we tried for a girl we got a boy instead. We now have 2 boys and 2 girls. For us it was a 50/50 result and this is what my doctor predicted. We are very happy with all of our children - that we have them is all that matters. Best wishes and the Lord's blessings.

Pao9060, I'm glad to hear it works for you! It never works for me. Both of my other children were supposed to be boys based on the Chinese gender predictor. :/

1) Timing of intercourse it should be have as soon as after or within ovulation so the speedier male sperm will reach the egg first.
2) flush your vagina with a solution of alkaline.
3) For boy eat foods rich in sodium and potassium,for example meat, dried and salted fish,rice,pasta,potatoes and beans and certain fruits and vegetables such as bananas, apricots and celery.

We used the SHETTLES method for a boy and I am happy to say our BOY will be arriving in about a month's time!!
Whether it is because we did something right is debateable for me personally.. I think it's simply Grace from Above!

But it can't hurt to try, right?

Shettles didnt work for us. Initially we were trying for a girl, but after several months of BFN's, we decided not to be so picky and just try for a baby. Anyways, after 18 months I finally got my BFP and we had bd'd on the first positive opk and the next day, which was O day (bbt confirmed). After 2 ultrasounds at 8 and 12wks and a fetal heart rate of 144, I was 110% convinced that I had myself a boy in there...gender scan at 19wks showed she's very much a little girl. Debunking both Shettles and the heart rate myth, as well as several old wives tales about girls making mom sick or gaining excessive weight or having horrid skin etc.
I wont say Shettles doesnt work, Im sure it does to an extend, but at the end of the day, its a race and regardless of how fast or slow sperm are, silly things like mucus and getting caught up in a little fallopian tube crevice can alter that race and its outcome.
