So confused, what's going on?

I had a miscarriage almost 7 wks ago, hcg levels went back down to normal within 3 wks. So then last week i had light spotting and on and off bleeding for 3 days. Nothing like a regular period, no cramping or anything. A couple days after that i took a hpt and it was a very very faint postive. That was last monday. Since then i have been testing multiple times a day with different tests and they all came up really really faint but never getting darker. And two or three out of thosr tests came back negative, but then i would test again after that and it would be that really kight positive again. Like so faint its almost not there, but it is there and ive even taken some apart to see the if the line is there and it is. Its been a whole week since the first faint positive, but they r never any darker. And i have some symptoms like really hungry, heartburn, and really visible veins. No bleeding or cramping. Ive heard of chemical pregnancy but y would i get varying neg and pos results?
