Question

Elevated temps

Sorry if this is a dumb question but I've only been temping a short time... Do any of you notice higher temps in warmer weather? I'm on cd 6 and my temps are usually from 97.2 - 97.6 at this point in my cycle. This month they have ranged from 97.8 - 99.0 and I'm still taking it at the same time. Wondered if it could b due to being warmer this week or maybe I'm sick or something.

Hi there. Each cycle your actual temps can look VERY different. Your "low" temp on the day of ovulation fr one cycle might be the same as the spike after ovulation on a different cycle. You can't read anything into the actual temps themselves, just look for the pattern. And yes, warmer weather can make your temp higher, or it could be lower because you push the covers off. So difficult to tell which is why we have to be so careful to temp as soon as we wake and without moving, reduce the variables!
