Irregular cycles trying to understand when I ovulate
I've always had irregular cycles and have used numerous birth control methods. I have 3 beautiful boys. Since my last pregnancy I have not been on any birth control. Its very hard to understand my body and what it does when im ovulating. Ive noticed certain symptoms eg ovary pain. When I have a period it lasts 7 days, my last one only lasred 5... i have had +opk for last 7 days im sure I ovulated 1 week before expected ovulation. .. im ao confused... any insight would be great

Have you thought about bbt charting?? It can help you pinpoint Ovulation better. The opk only reads lh surge so its a good start but it isn't able to tell you if you actually ovulate or not. If you have irregular cycles I've seen some charts that can get pretty long and daunting. Some of them have multiple pos opks before they actually O. You could also check cm and cervix. I started this almost 2 months ago. Its very helpful altho I do depend on my bbt chart to tell me more accurately. I've never had an irregular af so I'm sorry I wasn't more help! Good luck!

Thx jeni284. I have tried bbt but can never be consistent... as im up with my 4 month old early in morning's. I noticed this cycle O pains in both ovaries, Back aches. Cm was very creamy. Cp medium and medium. As I read forums im noticing the going ons with my body. Interesting but also confusing. Thx for your reply
