Question

Questions on OPKs

Is it normal to have a slight colored opk line then to retest later in the day and have absolutely no line? Only on cd 11 haven't had a real positive opk yet. First time using them. Hoping I didn't some how miss OD.

Yep it is very common to see lines sometimes but not others. There are so many thing that can affect it (e.g amount you have had to drink, temperature etc). Most people only get a positive the day before ovulation. How long are your cycles normally? You will usually ovulate approximately 2 weeks before your period. though you can have a longer or shorter luteal phase. Just keep testing, hopefully you will get a positive soon :) Just be careful to watch other signs too though as I have had a couple of cycles where I never got a positive at all though I did ovulate.

Normally cycle is 29 days. I guess I just thought it will progressively get darker over time until I ovulate. I tested in the am FMU then at night but I have had a lot of water to drink throughout the day. Thank you!
