Question

Teen pregnancy?

I'm sort of using this as a follow up to my previous question in which a lot of people answered with answers that required being able to drive but first off let me start with things going on.
First of all I'm only 15..
I'm having sore/ painful breasts much like PMS.
I threw up an acidy gook today (I also had a heart burn type sensation).
I'm fatigued, it takes a lot of effort to do even the simplest of tasks despite getting 8+ hours of sleep.
I had a major increase in discharge.
Also, the big one, I missed my period. It's only about a week late. I've gotten it the 6-8th every month for the past 7 months or so.
I had unprotected sex April 29th.
So I was wondering if it being May 15th and only being a week late, it was too late to tell and what I should do.
I'm getting a test from a friend next week but that's the most I can do since I can't drive..
Thanks to everyone who actually reads this!!

Well, you can't really go by symptoms to tell if you're pregnant or not. Early pregnancy is just like PMS. Also, do you know how long your cycles are? That is more indicative of when your period will be due rather than expecting it on the same date every month. You're probably not going to like this advice, but as someone much older, and speaking as a mom I think you really need to talk to your parents. If you ARE indeed pregnant, they are going to find out anyway. If you're not, they need to know that you're sexually active. You need to see a Dr, be tested for STDs, & get on reliable birth control. Please do not rely on a friend to bring you a test when she gets a chance. Having sex is a big grown up decision. Unfortunately, when you make grown up decisions, you have to face the consequences. Hopefully you're not pregnant. If you are, I hope you have support to guide you through it. Best wishes.

I'm with eag923 on this one. I was a teen mother once and it was a big wake up call for me. I told my my mom what happened and she was dissapointed but stood behind me the whole time. I think you should talk to your parents about this. You are only 15 and if you are pregnant then you need to get in to see a doctor asap and waiting for your friend to bring you a test is not a good idea. Personally, I feel as though if you are grown up enough to have sex, then you should be grown up enough to own up to what happened and tell your parents. This is sort of the first step towards maturity if you know what I mean. As a parent, I would want my daughter to come to me with something this big. I hope you have a good support system and if it turns out that you aren't pregnant, then please be more careful. Having a baby changes everything. It's a precious gift, but a ginormous responsibility. Good luck and I hope you decide to come clean with your family.

When I was your age I was in a similar situation. I agree with the ladies that also commented is speak to your parents or an adult you trust. I finally broke down and told my mother that I wasn't for sure if I was pregnant or not, and she went and picked up a test for me that day so we could find our together. It was so nice knowing I wasn't alone in this. If you decide to still be sexually active remember that there is always a chance of getting pregnant weather you use protection or not. If you decide to talk with an adult see if you can make an appointment with a doctor to be put on birth control, that's what I did after my teen pregnancy scare. If you do end up being pregnant start taking prenatal vitamins immediately, so you and baby can get the vitamins you both need. Here for you sweetie.
