Unfortunately, I don't know about clomid and postpartum, but I wanted to connect with you because I am older too (47). I feel that despite our age we still have a chance every month. My dr. gives me hope. He has seen so many women in their late 40s succeed. It is a matter of trying, and being very patient. Don't ever feel frantic about your age. Conceiving is not in anyone's hands and this is the case even for younger women. Best wishes and the Lord's blessings.

Finished nursing and had 3 periods since,reg 28/29 days x

Why couldn't you start clomid ? ! You are finished nursing and your cycles have started again.

Why would it not be safe? As long as you are not nursing or have some specific health issues I think it is safe. I checked a couple of websites that say exactly that. Clomid gets into breast milk, but you have stopped nursing. Is there any chance you can buy Femara or Letrozole ( generic) with or without prescription? It is not overly expensive and there won't be the potential thinning of the uterine lining issue like with clomid. It is worth checking . Best wishes as always.
